Disneyworld Day 2 - Magic Kingdom

By Lionina - 12:16 PM

One of the best favors you can do for yourself is to sign up for opening time breakfast at the parks on a non Magic Hours morning. This insures you early admission before the park opens and access to rides before everyone else. What crowd?

Trying to reserve Be Our Guest spots for  more than 2 people was impossible so I ended up finding separate one person reservations 5 minutes apart and standing in line together.
Kitchen and wait staff line up to greet you when the restaurant opens.

You can preorder online and once you sign in, the food is brought to your table no matter where you sit via the Disney Magic Band magic. We chose the Beast's Study where a holographic rose rest under a bell jar, and thunder and lighting effects. The paintings morph too.

Eggs Florentine with roasted tomato and ham. Various pastries and the Grey Stuff Cupcake.

This sandwich also came with the same amount of pastries, plus fountain juice and coffee is included. The food was better then we expected and there were so many pastries we got them to go and snacked on them all day.

Le Fou's Brew is a specialty drink from Gaston's Tavern - a mock beer with apple juice, toasted almond slush and fruit flavored faux head. The taste is both familiar but tantalizingly un-definable and the sugar content makes this sweet bomb incredibly potent. Out of all the new food and drink we tried, this was by far the most memorable and crave worthy.

Peoplemover still moving people at Disneyworld! Take a restful ride in the early afternoon and have your camera ready. There are two chances to get a the most spectacular picture of Cinderella's castle that I have ever encountered.

Meleficent Burningman-esque dragon at Festival of Fantasy Parade

The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse has not been converted to a Tarzan theme and seemed more spacious than the one at Disneyland.

Adventureland architecture - home to new Jungle themed asian-fusion restaurant. The detailing is amazing.

This isn't your Disneyland Haunted House. You are now in Magic Kingdom. Here, the line interactions (staring busts and lightning morphing paintings) have become part of the ride and new line distractions have been introduced. Crowd levels were so low all day, queues were practically non-existent and we weren't able to experience most interactive line distractions. Never thought I'd want to stand in line!

Catching the hour change at Small World. They even display your name in the Adios/Goodbye/Au Revoir signage as you are leaving the ride via Magic Band magic.

However, this gave us time to participate in some of the free scavenger hunts and activities offered in each of the park. At Magic Kingdom, face off against Disney villains in a turn based game and collect character cards for trading, or look for treasure in Adventureland and trigger various events each time the story progresses. Cannons go off and pirates coming out of the water. Skulls on pikes suddenly burst into song. It's well worth the effort of seeing your fellow park patrons scream in delight and wonder how you did that.
