DisneyWorld Day 1 - Resort Visits

By Lionina - 7:48 PM

Tonga Toast and Breakfast Burrito from Captain Cook's at the Polynesian Resort.

Wooden toy bear cooking/stuffing? people in a bag/pot? at the Grand Floridian.

Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Lounge.

Banana caramel trifle, crispy chocolate covered strawberries and pastries.

French onion soup at Boatwright's Dining Hall, Port Orleans

Crawfish Etoufee, Deep South Shrimp and Grits (our favorite), Crab Imperial

We bunked up for a week at the All Star Movies Resort in the Sorcerer Mickey wing and the experience was much better than expected - soundproofing was decent and the room was nicer than expected, though small (we each slept in our own beds). Our maid kept giving us cute new Mickey ear soap even when we didn't touch the towels for some reason.

The room was right next to the pool but very close to the cafeteria (convenient for fountain fill-ups) and a short walk to the buses in the morning. Transportation generally worked out alright except for several instances where the buses were too full at a rush time. You can circumvent traffic by knowing the transportation hubs and transferring to your destination from a more convenient route.
