Treat to self on the day of my first lesson in equitation - a beautiful afternoon spent at Seven Oaks Farms in Portola, learning the basics of horsemanship and seat position. My thighs were complaining for several days. No photos of horses, or of me on one, which perhaps says that I was properly in the moment.
